Welcome to Egg Donation Australia
Founded in 2011, Egg Donation Australia began with a clear mission: to start important conversations, drive meaningful change, and make egg donation more accessible across the country. What started as a grassroots effort to raise awareness has grown into a trusted, inclusive national community.
We recognise that egg donation is not just a medical process—it has a significant impact on people’s lives. As a peer-led, not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to supporting, educating, and advocating for individuals and families formed through donor conception and surrogacy.
Our platform offers a safe and supportive environment where donors, recipients, and those exploring their options can connect, learn, and navigate the process with confidence. Whether you're considering donating, looking for a donor, or seeking information, we’re here to support you at every stage.

Donor Conception Awareness Day: How to Join the Movement
International Donor Conception Awareness Day (IDCAD) is coming up on April 27, 2025, and in this episode, Donor Conception expert Jana Ruptow shares how you can get involved in this growing global movement. Whether you're a parent, a donor-conceived person, a professional, or simply an ally, there’s a meaningful way for you to participate.
IDCAD is about lifting the shame and secrecy around donor conception and centring the voices of those with lived experience. This year, partners from the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, and beyond are joining in to raise awareness and advocate for more ethical, transparent practices in donor conception.

Egg Donation Australia provides compassionate support to donors, donor-conceived individuals, and intended parents at every stage of their journey. Through our dedicated community, we offer a safe space for connection, guidance, and shared experiences. Our support extends to emotional well-being, practical advice, and navigating the complexities of egg donation with confidence. Whether it’s offering peer support, access to expert resources, or advocacy for those facing challenges, we are committed to ensuring no one walks this path alone. Together, we create a network of care, understanding, and empowerment.
We are committed to education that empowers donors, donor-conceived individuals, and intended parents with the knowledge they need to navigate the egg donation journey. We provide up-to-date, accessible information on the process, future considerations, and both the physical and ethical aspects of donation. By equipping individuals with the tools to make informed choices, we help them understand their rights, responsibilities, and the long-term impact of their decisions. Through workshops, resources, and community support, we guide people through the complexities of the system, ensuring transparency, ethical practices, and positive outcomes for all involved.
Egg Donation Australia is dedicated to advocacy that enhances the egg donation process, ensuring transparency, ethical treatment, and accessible support for all involved. Through legal advocacy, we champion the rights of donor-conceived individuals, pushing for improved laws that prioritise openness and long-term well-being. We fight for ethical protections for donors, ensuring their contributions are valued and safeguarded. By lobbying government bodies and engaging with the media, we drive meaningful change, influencing policy to reflect the needs of our community. We strive for a future where egg donation is ethical, transparent, and accessible to all.
